Hyaluronic Acid Injections

Hyaluronic Acid injections, also known as gel/lubricant injections or visco supplementation, are administered by Dr. Gross to patients suffering from chronic knee pain due to Osteoarthritis of the knee joints.  These injection treatments lubricate the knee joints and help the cartilage move smoothly, alleviating pain by reducing stiffness and inflammation.  Our office administers many gel injections including:

Joint Aspiration

Arthrocentesis, also known as joint aspiration, is also performed by Dr. Gross in our office when a joint has excessive fluid buildup.  The procedure involves using a needle and syringe to remove fluid from the space around an affected joint. The fluid is sent out to an appropriate lab to test for bacteria/infection. This helps alleviate swelling and pain around the joint and determine the cause for fluid buildup.
