Diana Araque, MSN, RN, AGNP-C, AANP
Diana Araque works as part of an in-patient acute care team as well as the sub-acute rehabilitation team with Physician Specialists of Northern Jersey. She graduated from William Paterson University with a Master’s degree as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in 2017.
Diana is currently practicing at Family of Caring at Ridgewood Rehabilitation facility, where she provides care to patients after they have been hospitalized due to various acute and/or chronic medical illnesses or injuries. She also provides cardio-pulmonary and critical care consultations for patients who require closer monitoring of chronic illnesses such as obstructive pulmonary diseases or heart failure. Diana also practices at Valley Hospital following in-patients with acute illness, which includes managing their chronic conditions during their hospitalization. Diana works in collaboration with Dr. Jason Shatkin, with whom she communicates specific needs or clinical changes patients may have.
Diana takes great pride in providing compassionate, competent, and evidence-based care to her patients. She enjoys forming special connections with patients in a time of their life when they are vulnerable and need someone they can trust. Patient education and advocacy are at the top of Diana’s priorities when taking care of her patients.
Diana attended William Paterson University where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She worked at Englewood Hospital for 9 years in various units including medical, neurology, cardiac-telemetry, and intensive care. Diana continued to work full time while tending to her graduate studies at William Paterson University and graduated with nursing honors as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Society.
