Cristobal Goa, MD
Cristobal Goa, MD, is a board certified Cardiologist, who has been practicing in Bergen County, New Jersey since 2015. He is on staff at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ, and cares for both hospitalized and ambulatory patients. He enthusiastically joined Physician Specialists of Northern Jersey in 2018, and established the cardiology aspect of the practice.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science from Stanford University and his Doctorate in Medicine from New York University, Dr. Goa went on to fulfill his Residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center of New York Presbyterian Hospital. This was followed by his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, which he completed at Georgetown University Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center, in Washington, DC. Dr. Goa’s expertise is demonstrated by multiple publications and presentations. His work has been published in the peer reviewed Journal of Clinical Hypertension and Journal of Atrial Fibrillation.
Dr. Cristobal Goa holds board certifications in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, as well Adult Echocardiography, Stress Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), and Nuclear Cardiology. He is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). At his office in Paramus, Dr. Goa performs diagnostic and non-invasive testing ranging from exercise stress tests and echocardiograms, to various types of vascular ultrasounds using state of the art technology. These tests are helpful in diagnosing and treating a range of conditions including atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, and congestive heart failure, among many others.
His patients value his comprehensive approach, attention to detail, and caring personality that often leads to strong patient-doctor relationships. Dr. Goa’s philosophy is to treat his patients as he would like to be treated, providing individualized care for his patients. He is a native Spanish and English speaker, and seeks to expand his Spanish-speaking practice.
