Rheumatologist

Dr. Michael Gross is co-founder and co-managing partner of Physician Specialists of Northern Jersey. He is a Board-Certified Rheumatologist and has been practicing Rheumatology in Bergen County, New Jersey since 2000. In the past, Dr. Gross was a teaching professor at New York University/Manhattan Veterans Hospital, teaching Rheumatology fellows. He is currently on staff at Valley Hospital in Paramus, New Jersey, and actively participates in the Valley Hospital Rheumatology clinic. His area of expertise includes treating auto-immune conditions such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and associated diseases including Sjogren’s Syndrome, Scleroderma, Polymyositis, Dermatomyositis and Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. Dr. Gross has a sub-specialty in following these diseases during pregnancy as well. Dr. Gross also specializes in many joint disorders including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Wegner’s Granulomatosis/Vasculitis, Osteoporosis, Gout/Pseudogout and Polymyalgia Rheumatica. In addition, Dr. Gross is skilled in doing Corticosteroid joint Injections, Hyaluronic Acid Injections and Ultrasound-guided joint injections.

Medical Professional Training

Dr. Michael Gross graduated with a B.A. from Hofstra University in 1991. He then earned his MD-Doctorate in Medicine from the New York State American Program at Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1995. He completed his Residency training in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, New York in 1998. Dr. Gross further obtained his Rheumatology Fellowship at New York University Medical Center for Joint Diseases in 2000. Dr. Gross has had multiple journal publications in Systemic Lupus and Neonatal Lupus in Arthritis and Rheumatology.
